I'm Daniel Favela,
A Director of Photography with over 28 years of experience in visual storytelling across film, television, music videos, documentaries, series, and videomapping. My visual style focuses on wide, expressive shots and a controlled color palette, using my background in color psychology to enhance cinematic narratives.I studied photography at the San Carlos Academy and cinematography at the European School of Arts and Film, as well as the Faculty of Cinema. I’ve furthered my education with diplomas in photography and music production. My work has been featured in collaborations with Artegios, Univision, and various independent productions. In 2018, I was ranked among the top 30 extreme sports photographers in the world (Top 27), and recognized in the Top 100 for astrophotography globally.I grew up in Durango, Mexico, where my mother worked as director of the state's arts department. My passion for cinema was born in a community screening room where I learned to operate film projectors as a child and memorized movie dialogues. This early experience shaped my creative voice—one that speaks more fluently through images and music than through words.Today, I live in Oregon, working freelance and remotely for TILTA, where I Translate and interpret their manuals and website content for Spanish-speaking audiences.
